Recap: Derby Panthers vs. Heights Falcons
Derby is still undefeated this season after their game against Heights on Tuesday, but Heights came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Derby Panthers had just enough and edged the Heights Falcons out 9-7.
Colton Ruedy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Ahlf, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Derby pushed their record up to 4-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Derby has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Bishop Carroll at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heights, they will head out on the road to challenge Kapaun Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
