Rocky Mountain Prep SMART's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Manual Thunderbolts. The victory was some much needed relief for the Ocelotls as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (94-91) Rocky Mountain Prep SMART actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-20, 27-25, 13-25, 26-24.

April Vences had a dynamite game, getting ten aces and six kills. That's the most kills she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Alessandra Irazoque, who had five aces.

Rocky Mountain Prep SMART has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Nederland on the 21st. As for Manual, after both having extra time off, they and Denver West will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
