Basketball Recap: Northern Adirondack Comes Up Short

Northern Adirondack came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Harrisville Pirates by a score of 45-42 on Saturday. The contest marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Harrisville was led to victory by Joe Shepherd and Jackson Jenack. Shepherd posted 20 points, while Jenack put up 13 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Shepherd has scored at least a third of Harrisville's points.

Northern Adirondack has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Harrisville, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Adirondack will welcome AuSable Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Harrisville, they will be playing at home against Lisbon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrisville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
