Monte Vista came tearing into Thursday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Granada Matadors as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Matadors, too.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-21.

Kennedy Whyte paced Monte Vista's offense, picking up six kills. Whyte got some help from Diya Mathew and her 18 assists. Brooklyn Hoge controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Monte Vista's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Granada, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Monte Vista wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Amador Valley on the 7th. As for Granada, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Dublin on the 7th.
