Softball Game Preview: Brenham Cubs vs. Nederland Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Brenham will face off against Nederland. The Cubs will face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last four games Brenham has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Brenham heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Nederland by a score of 4-3.

For Nederland's part, Morgan Barron spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, Nederland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hope Foster, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Nederland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Brenham, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13.
