Soccer Recap: Island Coast Gets the Win

Island Coast fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They had just enough and edged the South Fort Myers Wolfpack out 2-1.

Sydney Rust and Teresa Hernandez-Ortiz scored both of Island Coast's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Island Coast's victory bumped their record up to 3-12-1. As for South Fort Myers, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Island Coast will welcome Lehigh at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Island Coast is facing Lehigh at the right time seeing as Lehigh is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for South Fort Myers, they will be playing at home against Gateway Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
