Southern came into Saturday's contest having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes a 10-0 shutout on Saturday. The Tornadoes not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9th (when they won 23-0).

Southern's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Nelsonville-York, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Southern will face off against Belpre at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tornadoes are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Nelsonville-York, they will venture away from home to challenge Meigs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
