Volleyball Recap: Southeastern Christian Academy Falls to Liberty Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Southeastern Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Liberty Christian Academy Heat, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-10.

Southeastern Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Angelina Lauver and Brielle Reid, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Kaylee Stevens and her six assists. Anneyston Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Liberty Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Hearn, who had seven kills, two aces, and one block. Hearn is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season. Presleigh Padgett was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Liberty Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Southeastern Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Southeastern HomeSchool on the 26th. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Faith Christian on the 26th.
