Basketball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dow Chargers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chemics this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-45 back in December of 2024.

Midland's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Dow, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Midland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. Mt. Pleasant will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Midland surely won't give up without a fight. Dow has already played their next match (against Grand Blanc), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
