League recap: Ingerson breaks off league-leading run for Baker

Section 3 Class AA 2 recap November 5, 2013

Baker's Ryan Ingerson recorded the longest rushing play in Section 3 Class AA 2 this season in his game against Central Square last week. Ingerson's team defeated the Redhawks as he sprinted for 81 yards on the play and finished with 81 in all.

Baker took down Central Square 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gage Blasi threw for 113 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 13 yards during the win.

J'von Evans provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Proctor lost to Whitesboro. He completed 3 passes for 74 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 332 yards.

He went 7-8 with 1 interception.

Evans was a force in the backfield as the Raiders fell to the Warriors.

Blasi put up the best numbers through the air as Carl Sanfilippo's team beat Matt DiCarlo's team. Blasi's favorite target this week was Mitch Rein, who caught 2 passes for 43 yards.

Rome Free Academy's Angus Evans and Eddie Campos have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Evans has thrown for 1,434 yards this season, while Campos has 42 catches for 510 yards. Evans from Proctor leads the league in rushing with 2,164 yards.

The Bees led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Redhawks. Blasi ran for 13 yards in the win.
