Basketball Recap: Granbury Finds Home Court Redemption Against Fossil Ridge

There's no place like home for Granbury, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 48-41 victory over the Fossil Ridge Panthers on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pirates as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Fossil Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayion Perkins, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Caiden Veazey was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Granbury's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Fossil Ridge, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Granbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-47 loss against Saginaw on the 17th. As for Fossil Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-52 win against Azle on the 17th.
