Recap: Onalaska Wildcats vs. Tarkington Longhorns
The Onalaska Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Tarkington on Friday as Onalaska made off with a 66-42 win. Winning may never get old, but Onalaska sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Maryjoy Cariaga was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The game was her 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alora Pinkert, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Onalaska has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Tarkington, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Onalaska will challenge Crockett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tarkington, they will head out on the road to face off against Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
