Basketball Recap: Sandpoint Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Sandpoint came into Monday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Priest River Spartans on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 80-49 back in December of 2024.

Priest River lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sawyer Stoudt, who posted 15 points. Carter Cook was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Sandpoint's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Priest River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Sandpoint will square off against Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Priest River, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-53 victory against Timberlake on the 7th.
