Basketball Recap: Strayhorn Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Strayhorn had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Charleston Tigers, falling 70-18. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Branderious Bankston was his usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for Charleston. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Nunaley, who posted 12 points.

Charleston's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Strayhorn has already played their next game, an 85-21 loss against Independence on the 21st. As for Charleston, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Water Valley at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. The Tigers will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
