Basketball Recap: Ethel Walker Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Ethel Walker had won four straight games and Taelor Arnold did her part to make it five on Saturday. Ethel Walker simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cheshire Academy Cats 54-16 for which the team can thank Arnold, who went 8-for-17 on her way to 17 points along with six steals and five boards. She has become a key player for Ethel Walker: the team is 6-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 7-8 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of Liana Salamone, who posted three points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Ethel Walker's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Cheshire Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

As of now, neither Ethel Walker nor Cheshire Academy have any future games scheduled.
