Basketball Recap: Catherine Letendre Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat St. Catherine's

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Potomac School had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the St. Catherine's Saints by a score of 56-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-32 back in November of 2024.

Potomac School got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Catherine Letendre out in front who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Letendre a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Ava Sewall, who went 6-for-13 on her way to 19 points.

Potomac School pushed their record up to 18-11 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for St. Catherine's, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Potomac School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 70-69 loss against St. Anne's-Belfield on the 26th. St. Catherine's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
