Hutchison entered their tilt with Briarcrest Christian on Friday with six consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with seven. They took down the Briarcrest Christian Saints 57-42. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 59-30 back in January.

Briarcrest Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellen Adair, who posted 12 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Adair has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Kendall Jones, who had 11 points and four steals.

Hutchison pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Briarcrest Christian, their record now sits at 14-9.

Coming up, Hutchison is taking a road trip to square off against St. Agnes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Briarcrest Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Benedict at Auburndale at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st.
