Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Clarkstown North

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Clarkstown North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brewster Bears, sneaking past 9-7. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Amaya Hall tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Marlee Levin, who fired off three home runs, five RBI, and one double while going 5-for-5. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Conti, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Clarkstown North lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Clarkstown North's record is now 6-3. As for Brewster, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkstown North will face off against Suffern at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Brewster, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on May 8.
