Football Recap: Norwell Comes Up Short

Norwell extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-7. They took a blow against the Huntington North Vikings, falling 48-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 49-10 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Huntington North, their win bumped their record up to 3-5. That 41 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

A big part of Huntington North's victory came down to the chemistry between Lathen Janes and his top target James Linker. Janes threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes while Linker picked up 235 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Linker is now averaging an impressive 108.4 receiving yards per game. Mason Ptak also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.
