Recap: Rich Rebels vs. Altamont Longhorns
The Rich Rebels came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victor by a 47-27 margin over Altamont. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rich has posted since December 1, 2023.
Haydee Pugmire continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Violett Taylor was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Rich pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Altamont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rich will take on Wendover at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Wendover is ranked 54th, while Rich is ranked 49th). As for Altamont, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 9:00 a.m. on January 20th.
