Phoenix Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Forsyth Home Educators Hawks as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Firebirds: when they faced off against the Hawks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-12, 25-20.

Kris'Chelle Powe paced Phoenix Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Powe got some help from Destiny Kinsey and her five assists. Kinsey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory snapped Phoenix Academy's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 5-13 record. As for Forsyth Home Educators, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Phoenix Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Clover Garden School on the 6th. Forsyth Home Educators has also already played their next match (against Winston Salem Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
