Football Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

The Washington Warriors had to suffer through a 53-21 loss at the hands of the Decorah-North Winneshiek Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Vikings are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Washington and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Decorah-North Winneshiek, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Waverly-Shell Rock at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Decorah-North Winneshiek will square off against rival Mason City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
