Basketball Game Preview: Bayard Tigers vs. Leyton Warriors

Bayard is on a three-game streak of home losses, Leyton a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Bayard Tigers will welcome the Leyton Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both are at an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bayard duked it out withMorrill on Tuesday. Bayard fell 49-40 to Morrill.

Meanwhile, Leyton came up short against Hay Springs on Saturday, falling 66-44.

Leyton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bayard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Bayard came up short against Leyton when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 66-62. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Leyton's Jeremiah Hajek, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to six steals and five boards. Now that Bayard knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
