Baseball Recap: Doral Academy Red Rock Gets the Win

Doral Academy Red Rock picked up another tournament win on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Orange Glen Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Doral Academy Red Rock got a massive performance out of Harvey Swann, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Swann is becoming a predictor of the Dragons' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-0-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Zaman, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

The win got Doral Academy Red Rock back to even at 4-4-1. As for Orange Glen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5-1 record this season.

Doral Academy Red Rock will face off against Viewpoint at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Orange Glen, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hoover at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
