Baseball Recap: Chipley Comes Up Short

If Chipley was riding high fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Vernon last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the Jay Royals by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Chipley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Jay, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chipley will take on Cottondale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jay, they will face off against L.E.A.D. Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
