Basketball Recap: Sweetwater Falls Despite Big Games from Kendall Tyler and Lilly Woodruff

Sweetwater suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Monday. They lost 55-34 to the Loudon Redskins. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lilly Woodruff and Kendall Tyler certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Woodruff dropped a double-double on 14 points and 22 boards, while Tyler went 5 of 12 on her way to 16 points. That's the most points Tyler has posted since back in January of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Sweetwater and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Loudon, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Sweetwater won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Loudon, they will head out to challenge Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
