Preview: Crean Lutheran Saints vs. Hart Indians
The Crean Lutheran Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Hart Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Crean Lutheran really took it to Kennedy for the full four quarters, racking up a 39-6 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-6.
Caden Jones and Daylin Caamano were among the main playmakers for Crean Lutheran as the former threw for 148 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes and the latter picked up 39 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last matchup, Hart made sure to put some points up on the board against Castaic on Friday. Hart took their game at home with ease, bagging a 42-13 win over Castaic. Hart pushed the score to 35-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Castaic had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Clauss, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards. Timmy Larkins also helped out by tossing the rock for 292 yards.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 7-3.
