On Tuesday Maverick Gill tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The effort marked the fewest earned runs Gill has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks. For the season, he has an ERA of 3.65 over 15.3 innings pitched.

Gill's effort led Pioneer over Sacramento and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
