Football Recap: Gabe Campbell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Young Americans Christian over Harvester Christian Academy + How To Watch

Young Americans Christian was the 31-13 winner over Harvester Christian Academy when they last played one another back in August of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 36-30 to the Hawks on Friday.

Young Americans Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gabe Campbell, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 65 yards. Ben Allen was another key player, throwing for 237 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes.

Young Americans Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mason Sigur, Quez Thompson, and Campbell picked up one apiece. Joshua Blunt was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Young Americans Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Harvester Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Young Americans Christian and Harvester Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on Victory Baptist at 7:30 p.m. on September 5. As for Harvester Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
