Classical Academy has gone 7-2 against Pacific Ridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Caimans will head out on the road to face off against the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m.

Classical Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Bishop's just ended the team's five-game winning streak two weeks ago. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Classical Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pacific Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Mission Hills 3-0 on Tuesday. The Firebirds not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th (when they won 3-0).

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-11.

Classical Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 19-10. As for Pacific Ridge, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.

Classical Academy skirted past Pacific Ridge 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Caimans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
