As a matter of fact, Faith Christian put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They came out on top against Attica by a score of 11-8. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Keely Frier was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Julia Merkel was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Faith Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 2.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, West Lafayette waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Knights. 19 seems to be a good number for the Red Devils as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Molly Mansfield made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Juliana Martinez and Paola Eifler did most of the damage at the plate: Martinez went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs, while Eifler went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Eleanor Hurt, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
West Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Faith Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.
