On Saturday, Ashley faced West Stokes in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went the Ashley Screaming Eagle's way against the West Stokes Wildcats as the Ashley Screaming Eagle made off with a 9-2 win. The victory was just business as usual for the Screaming Eagle, who after seven games remain undefeated this season.

The team relied heavily on Drew Potter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Quinn Bentley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Ashley pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for West Stokes, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashley will head out to face off against Laney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Laney's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for West Stokes, they are taking a road trip to take on Wilmington Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
