Football Recap: Arleta Takes a Loss

Arleta extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the San Pedro Pirates, falling 25-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Pirates are ranked 30th).

As for San Pedro, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average this season.

Maddison Adrid continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 179 yards and four touchdowns. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times she's played. Naomi Eneliko was Adrid's top target, picking up 33 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Arleta has already played their next contest, a 39-7 defeat against Cleveland on the 3rd. As for San Pedro, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 25-13 victory against Palos Verdes on the 30th.
