Basketball Recap: Word of Life Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over Beatty

Word of Life Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Beatty Hornets with a sharp 34-11 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Word of Life Christian Academy as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Beatty is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Word of Life Christian Academy will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against McDermitt at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beatty, they will be taking part in a tournament against Beaver Dam at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
