Softball Recap: Elk Lake's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Elk Lake extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 4-3 in the process. They put the hurt on the Montrose Meteors with a sharp 17-4 win. Considering the Warriors have won four contests by more than 12 runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Montrose, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4. The match marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Montrose's part, Violet Conning and MycKenna Kublo stepped up to the plate in a big way. Conning went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Kublo went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that Conning has hit this season.
