Basketball Game Preview: Beaumont Cougars vs. Cajon Cowboys

Beaumont and Cajon are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2021, but not for long. The Beaumont Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Cajon Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Beaumont is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since December 2, 2024 on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-30 victory over Redlands. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Terriers are ranked 1112th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cajon's game on Saturday was all tied up 34-34 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 66-65 photo finish over Redlands East Valley.

Beaumont's record now sits at 10-11. As for Cajon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Beaumont was taken down by Cajon 72-41 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Beaumont avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
