After flying high against Mason County Eastern on Monday, Traverse City Christian came back down to earth. The Sabres fell just short of the Manton Rangers by a score of 8-7 on Friday. The Sabres' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Sadie Brown-Bannon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaitlynn Payne, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Traverse City Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Manton, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

While Traverse City Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
