Basketball Recap: Minico Comes Up Short

Minico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were beaten by the Mountain Home Tigers 60-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-35 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mountain Home to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Longhurst, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and four steals. Longhurst has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Payton Blodgett was another key player, going 7 for 15 en route to 17 points.

Minico's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Mountain Home, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jerome the next time they take the court. Minico will head out to face Jerome at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mountain Home will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
