Baseball Game Preview: Gunn Titans vs. Wilcox Chargers

Gunn hasn't had much luck against Wilcox recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Gunn will look to defend their home field against Wilcox at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Gunn managed to slip by Homestead the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Gunn lost 10-2 to Homestead on Friday.

Gunn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Bogart, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Bogart's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wilcox fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Palo Alto on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gunn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wilcox, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Gunn couldn't quite finish off Wilcox in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can Gunn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
