Preview: Greenville Red Raiders vs. South Aiken Thoroughbreds

The Greenville Red Raiders will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the South Aiken Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Greenville can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Easley 42-14 at home. Winning may never get old, but Greenville sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Greenville found their leader in underclassman Rashad Robinson, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Robinson's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards. Kylar Zimmerman was another key contributor, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, South Aiken won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Aiken 42-41. The win was just what South Aiken needed coming off of a 56-28 loss in their prior game.

It was another big night for Jevon Edwards, who rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per carry. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Kyson McLeod also helped out with an impressive 85 receiving yards.

Greenville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for South Aiken, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 3-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's match: Greenville has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 198.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like South Aiken struggles in that department as they've been even better at 240.1 per game. It's looking like Saturday's game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
