Softball Game Preview: Montgomery Bears vs. Huntsville Hornets

The Montgomery Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Huntsville Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Montgomery and Brenham faced off in a Battle of the Bears on Friday. The Bears fell just short of the Cubs by a score of 3-2. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Huntsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Brenham, falling 13-2.

Angelique Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Huntsville's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.

Montgomery took their win against Huntsville in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 14-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
