Basketball Recap: Ore City Takes a Loss

Ore City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Big Sandy Wildcats an easy 74-49 win. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January.

Big Sandy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malijah Francis, who posted 23 points. Another player making a difference was Kayden Smith, who put up 18 points.

Ore City's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Big Sandy, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Ore City will look to defend their home court on Friday against Linden-Kildare at 8:00 p.m. As for Big Sandy, they are taking a road trip to challenge McLeod at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
