Softball Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short

Pacheco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 13-6 to the Grace Davis Spartans. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Isabella Chavez and Yasmin Regalado did some serious damage despite the final result: Chavez scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Regalado scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Chavez posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Emma Landeros was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Pacheco's record now sits at 3-10. As for Grace Davis, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pacheco will challenge rival Beyer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Grace Davis is set to square off against their familiar foe Johansen at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
