Softball Game Preview: Pine Crest Panthers vs. Chaminade-Madonna Lions

Pine Crest is 0-8 against Chaminade-Madonna since March of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Pine Crest Panthers face off against Chaminade-Madonna Lions at 4:00 p.m. Pine Crest has given up an average of 21.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pine Crest lost 30-19 to Hialeah Educational Academy on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Samantha Burke made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Ava Karinattu also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Chaminade-Madonna earned a 7-4 win over Gulliver Prep on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won three in a row.

Pine Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Chaminade-Madonna, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Pine Crest might still be hurting after the 17-5 loss they got from Chaminade-Madonna when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
