Baseball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Kennedy Fighting Irish

The Orange Panthers will take on the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Orange will be strutting in after a win while Kennedy will be coming in after a loss.

Orange made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Margaret's, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers blew past the Tartans 7-1 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Kennedy wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Carlos Tapia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Hiro Vasquez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Orange's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-8-1. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Orange was able to grind out a solid victory over Kennedy in their previous meeting back in April of 2015, winning 6-2. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fighting Irish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
