Baseball Recap: Lynn English's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Lynn English posted their closest victory since May 24, 2024 on Thursday. They never let the Revere Patriots get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Not much got past Engel Thomas, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Revere off the board. Thomas also tossed a walk, which is notable because Lynn English is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-4 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Lynn English secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Jariel Benzan, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

The victory snapped Lynn English's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record. As for Revere, their record is now 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynn English will challenge Somerville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Revere, they will square off against Northeast Metro RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
