Baseball Game Preview: Brown County Eagles vs. Austin Eagles

Brown County hasn't had much luck against Austin recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Brown County will square off against Austin at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Brown County is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 21st straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They lost 12-0 to Hauser.

Brown County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kody Shugars, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Shugars has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Rising Sun, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Shiners since April 13, 2019.

Brown County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Brown County couldn't quite get it done against Austin in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 10-6. Can Brown County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
