Baseball Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. Princeton Tigers

The Hall Red Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Princeton Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Hall's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Princeton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Hall came up short against Marquette and fell 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Putnam County hit Princeton with a seven-run seventh inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Panthers, falling 12-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Princeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ace Christiansen, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base.

Hall's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Princeton, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-2.

Everything went Hall's way against Princeton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Hall made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
