Baseball Recap: Coral Springs Charter Victorious

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Wednesday. Coral Springs Charter had just enough and edged out Somerset Academy 10-9. That's two games straight that Coral Springs Charter has won by just one run.

Carter Hayden was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-1. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Connor Sova also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Coral Springs Charter and bumps their season record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Somerset Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Coral Springs Charter will square off against Taravella at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Somerset Academy, they will face off against American at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last six games Somerset Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
