Volleyball Recap: Coventry Takes Down Wheeler in a Playoff Battle

Coventry had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on the Wheeler Lions with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Brooke White was nothing short of spectacular: she had 28 digs. Those 28 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rowynn Myshrall, who had six digs and three aces.

Coventry was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 17 consecutive matches.

Coventry's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Wheeler, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Coventry will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of International Studies at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wheeler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
